Gerard Butler is American

Gerard Butler is Scottish. He cannot do an American accent. Everybody knows this - even Gerard Butler, we suspect. And yet, those casting directors persist. His accent is bad enough to spoil a good film, but most of them are pretty rubbish to start with, such as the insulting rom com The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl, and The Bounty Hunter, co-starring Jennifer Aniston's chest.
