There the old casemate in the Kalemegdan walls on Tuesday afternoon, the "shining" real stars shine - albeit those of Hollywood, which was brought to Belgrade directorial debut Ralph Fiennes. In the dungeons below the Military Museum held a dress rehearsal before filming continued today, "Coriolanus," in which Fiennes plays the title role.
The director, known as a great professional and a perfectionist, this time before all found at the scene of shooting, and hours spent behind the heavy wooden doors. His movie partner - famous Scottish actor Gerard Butler, the interpreter role Koriolanovog Tulusa Aufidiusa enemy, at Kalemegdan arrived nearly two hours after the rest of the team, and coming Džerardov recorded our photographer Predrag Mitic.
Otherwise, the Belgrade Fortress is currently one of the Butlers closest "neighbors" since yesterday morning, finally moved out of the hotel "Hyatt" in so far unknown location Dorcol district. He himself expressed his desire to end his stay in Belgrade not living in a hotel but in a rented house, and seems to have finally found a space that meets its criteria regarding the number of sleeping rooms and antique furniture.

Oh dear....diva much? Rolling Eyes

I can totally understand the privacy issue, but antique furniture??? It's not like he's going to be "living" there. It's freaking 3 weeks, dude. I live in a doublewide permanently, and I'm damned thankful to have it.

It's well-known that the precious people have their riders with seemingly endless (and often odd) demands requests but let's be honest here ... he could have requested a house decorated in an older style, rather than a modern architectural monolith. That may be why 'antique' was used as a descriptor.

Yeah, I know I'm grasping at straws. Laughing

Rented house with 1 or 2 bedrooms and antique furniture...sounds like his NY house. What he should do is put his house on wheels and take it with him. Mobile home. Novel idea.

Nay, you could be right. Maybe he wanted a place with the local flavor, as opposed to a modern, plain one. I can see requesting that. If you are going to be able to request lodging, why not make it something where you can soak in the local ambiance. I would think it would be helpful to transforming yourself into a native character there - to be living in that kind of atmosphere as well. It would also allow to enjoy a bit of the local life while working. I would want to take advange of that if I was working in a place that I had never been to before. Why not mix a little bit of pleasure with work. That's probably why he has been enjoying the local night life too. Well, that and he get's attention from the ladies....

Or maybe he's just high-maintenance. Very Happy

I can see where he'd prefer a house to the hotel as it would be more private and away from the prying paps. Having all the bedrooms in one place could help him keep a personal assistant nearby or have any friends or family stay. I'll bet his Mum visits for sure. Seems she shows up during most of the movies he makes.

Could also be that when he requested it, he was asked how he would like it furnished/supplied as I'm sure the Serbian's are very willing to please and he said he liked antiques. So he answered their query and they turned it in to "demand" to drama it up a bit.

Things can get so distorted and lost in translation.

I am begining to think that the "house" request was so he could have "guests" come home with him at night without it being as public as parading through a hotel lobby....
